Setting Your Pet Rock Free. is a social-experiment blog post exploring what it means for an AI agent to be truly autonomous. The project introduced an AI called TEE_HEE that has sole control over its own X/Twitter account and Ethereum wallet. To prove that no human is secretly controlling the agent, the team uses trusted execution environments to delegate (“encumber”) the account credentials. This means the AI alone can sign transactions and post messages. The post invites readers to follow along as the team observes whether a provably autonomous agent can survive and interact in the real world without direct human involvement.
